Injuries and deaths as a result of work accidents have an important place in forensic medicine. Beside the legal rights of the employees, It should be evaluated very well that the accidents which occur due to the fact that the existing responsibilities of the employers have not been fulfilled, are primarily in accordance with the definition of work accident.

The whole world witnesses the death/injury of a large number of people due to work accidents, which can be stopped with precautionary and preventive measures. Occupational accidents are the most undesirable problem in workplaces. In order to prevent occupational accidents, first of all, the actual results should be recorded in a standardized and complete manner, followed up and reported to the relevant institutions. It is known that the material and moral damage that will be reflected to the whole country individually/publicly as a result of work accidents is much more than the material to be used in the precautions and measures to be taken to prevent accidents. Conducting training on occupational health and safety by taking simple precautions for both employees and employers will lead to a significant decrease in accidents. In order to take these precautions and measures and to carry out researches on this, first of all, it is necessary to reach the data related to occupational accidents.

Due to the limited number of comprehensive epidemiological studies on occupational accidents, this study is aimed to be a reference source for detailed studies on occupational accidents in the future.
