The experiment was carried out to determine reproductive traits, milk traits, milk fat percentage, lactation periods of Akkaraman ewes raised by farmers. A total of 405 ewes and 23 ram were used in four different regions, Van.

In the present study, the managements of sheep raisers were put in account. During the spring and summer the flocks were on pasture. During the winter flocks were kept indoors because of the intense cold. During the winter the flocks were fed with forage (hay + wet sugar-beet pulp).

Pregnancy percentage, litter size, lactation milk yield, daily milk yield, lactation length and milk fat percentage of Akkaraman ewes were 85.19%, 1.01, 39.73 kg, 334 g, 122.86 days and 6.62 %, respectively.

It was found the presence of a statistically significant difference (P<0.05; P<0.001) between regions (except region III) with regard to reproductive and milk traits of Akkaraman ewes of different age groups, bred by the farmers in different regions of Van province .
