Blastocystis hominis is one of the most common parasites found in the human intestinal tract. This organism was considered a harmless over the years. Reported here is a case of B. hominis infection associated with abdominal pain, nausea and diarrhea. Patient was treated with Trimethoprim/Sulfamethoxazole (TMP/SMX) at regimen 2x/day/7 days.
