This study was performed to figure out mineral level of soil, pasture grass, and sheep serum in Elazığ region. Atomic Absorption Spectrometer was used to determine the mineral levels of samples (Calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc, selenium, manganese, molybdenum) of soil, pasture grass and sheep serum in different areas (village and province) of Elaziğ.

The level of calcium and magnesium in the soil was determined to be low. There were significant (P<0.01) differences among the mineral levels except molybdenum before (March), during (May-June), and after pasturing (August).

As a result, we may say that although there were significant differences among the sheep in terms of iron, copper, phosphorus, zinc, selenium and manganese (Fe, Cu, P, Zn Se and Mn) of level of serum, it is not necessary to add these minerals in sheep diet because the levels of mineral level was similar to standard levels. However, due to the lower serum levels of calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) observed, they can be added into the diet.
