Keywords: Incontinence, transobturator tape (TOT), complication, satisfaction

Objectives: In this study we aimed to investigate the postoperative surgical outcomes, complications and patient satisfaction with the outside-in transobturator tape (TOT) procedure in patients with stress urinary incontinence.

Materials and Methods: Data of 26 patients who received TOT surgery between 2012 and 2017 were evaluated retrospectively. Patients were evaluated for demographic data, procedure results, satisfaction rates as well as intraoperative and early postoperative (urinary retention, vaginal erosion, dyspareunia, infection, abnormal discharge) complications.

Results: Stress incontinence completely cured or improved by 84.6% of patients. The question” Would you recommend the surgery?” was answered positively by 22 (84.6%) in our patients.

Conclusion: TOT procedure with high success and low complication rates may be preferable in stress urinary incontinence surgical treatments.
