The aim of this study was to investigate the bones of fore limb of the martens. For this purpose, a total of 3 adult martens (2 female, 1 male) were used.

It was observed that the area of supraspinous fossa was larger than infraspinous fossa. Processus hamatus and processus suprahamatus were present. Incisura scapula and incisura glenoidalis were rather evident.

Deltoid tuberosity was crest-shaped. Supracondylar foramen was present on medial epicondyla. Lateral supracondylar ridge was very well developed.

Joints were present between the proximal and distal part of the radius and ulna. The trochlea of radius was more developed than the head of the radius.

Three proximal and four distal carpal bones were found. The digital skeleton of the forepaw was consisted of five units.

In conclusion; it was determined that fore limb bones of marten were more similar to wild carnivores rather than domestic carnivores.
