In this case report, recurrent rectal prolapse and its treatment with colopexy were reported in a 4-months-old male Persian cat. The cat who was treated twice with rejection of the rectum and pürse string suture was brought to our clinic after the third recurrence of the disease. He was brought to our clinic after the third recurrence. After laparotomy for colopexy was performed, the rectum was pulled into the abdomen and colon sutured with 2/0 polyglactine on the abdominal wall and, purse string suture to the anüs was applied. It was learned that the patient was completely normal in the postoperative 6-month period. It was concluded that the purse string suture applied to the anus wass not sufficient in patients with recurrent rectal prolapse, and the co-administration with colopexy was successful.
