This study was carried out to investigate the specific anatomical features of the viscerocranium of the skulls of the dog, cat, badger, marten, otter. A total of twenty five animals, five from each species were used without sexual distinction.

There were two prominent points on the septal processes in all examined species. The zygomatic arch protruded laterally in marten, cat and otter, but it extended obliquely forward in badger and dog. For. palatinum majus was seen on the maxilla bone in the otter, badger and marten, however, this foramen was located between the horizontal lamina of the palatine bone and proc. palatinus of the maxilla bone in the cat and dog. Number of the mental foramina was two in the marten, badger and dog and five in otter.

In conclusion, macroscopically the interspecific differences were found among the marten, otter, badger, cat and dog bones and this bones could readilybe identified.
