The experiment was carried out to determine dirty wool yields, curl lengths, body measurements of Akkaraman ewes raised by farmers and birth weights and survival rates of lambs.

A total of 405 ewes and 335 lambs (184 male and 151 female) were used in four different regions, Van. In the present study, the managements of sheep raisers were put in account. During the spring and summer the flocks were fed of grazing. During the winter flocks were kept indoors because of the intense cold. During the winter the flocks were fed with forage ( hay + wet sugar-beet pulp).

Pregnancy percentage, withers height, ridge height, rump height, body length, chest depth, chest wide, chest girth, cannon bone circumference, fleece yield, and fleece length of Akkaraman ewes were 60.96 cm, 60.20 cm, 61.60 cm,59.89 cm, 28.11 cm, 20.45 cm, 80.08 cm, 8.46 cm, 1.81 kg and 9.65 cm, respectively. Birth weights of male and female lambs were 3.77 and 3.86 kg, respectively. General average weights at birth and survival rates at weaning of lambs were 3.81 kg and 100 %.
