Acetaminophen is one of the most common antipyretic and analgesic drug used all over the world. It causes significant hepatotoxicity and renal failure when used in excess amounts. These increased doses may be used for the intention of committing suicide or when used mistakenly especially in children. Renal failure, as a cause of acetaminophen toxicity, is rarely seen alone. In this report we presented a 18- year- old female patient who ingested thirty grams of paracetamol for suicide. She then developed nephrotoxicity without findings of hepatotoxicity which is a very rare situation.
