This study is aimed to demonstrate the morphological characteristics of fibrous tunic of eyeball in Chukar partridge (Alectoris chukar). In this study; a total of 10 partridge, 5 male and 5 female were used as material. The eyes were removed totally and fixed in 10% formaldehyde solution. The slides which were cut at 5 μm thickness were stained with Crossman's modified triple stain in order to determine the general structure following routine histological process. The structures that constitute detailed examination of cornea and sclera. The osseous plaques in the anterior part of the sclera and cartilaginous tissue surrounding the sclera were attractive. The osseous tissue (os opticus) was determined in the perforated region of sclera by optic nerve. Widths of the layers of fibrous tunic between males and females were compared statistically. The differences between genders in terms of only corneal stroma and scleral cartilage were determined to be significant (P<0.05).
