Keywords: Elektrocochleography crebro–spinal fluid (CSF) loss

The experimental study was performed in order to evavate the alterations takign place in cochlea as a result of crebro–spinal fliud (CSF) loss. There groups composed of five guinea pigs ineach were forme Elektrocochleography tests was applied preoperatively to the animals, and these values used as control values. CSF loss was induced. Elektrocochleography tests were reneved 1 hour (group 1), 1 week (group 2) and 2 month (group 3) after the process and sumation potential amplitudes were proprotioned against the action potential amplitudes (SP/AP). When the SP/AP amplitude ratios of the CSF lost groups werre compared with the SP/AP ratios of control groups obtained the same frequency tone burst and click stimulation, statistically significant increases were observed only in the 1. hour 2 and 4 kHz tone burst. The augmentation determined in the one hour group was considered as the development of endolymphatic hydrops in the early periods.
