In budgerigars, paraglossum, ceratobranchial and epibranchial bones were paired, basihyal and urohyal bones were unpaired and joined. There was a sesamoid bone on the ventral surface of urohyoideum and its mean length was 1.9 mm. Values of some osteometric measurements were found to be higher in males than in females examined .
