In this review, the hydrolytic and non-hydrolytic enzymes in snake venoms were investigated. Some detailed knowlodge about the proteolytic enzymes and phospholipase A2, acetyl cholinesterase (AChE), phosphomonoesterase, phosphodiesterase, hyaluronidase, which are hydrolytic enzymes are given. Infarmation regarding the elastase, NAD nucleosidase, arginin esterase, haemorrhagins and the non-hydrolytic enzymes are given briefly. Additionallty, the scientific use of some compounds in snake venoms were summarized.
