The aim of this study was to investigate the bones of pelvic limb of the martens. For this purpose, a total of 3 adult martens (1 male, 2 female) were used.

Left hip bone and right hip bone were parallel to each other, obturator foramen was very large, and ischial tuberosity had a single prominence. Tuberculum m. psoas minoris was rather clear. Area lateralis m. recti femoris was quite deep.

Trochanter tertius was crest-shaped. Articular surface for lateral and medial sesamoid bones loked like little hollows.

Arciform grooves of the cochlea tibiae were oblique, and there were proximally and distally formed joints between tibia and fibula.

Tuberosity of calcaneus was well developed. Os metatarsale-I was the smallest between metatarsal bones. Os metatarsale III and IV which were at the same ength were longer than the others.

In conclusion; it was determined that pelvic limb bones of marten were more similar to wild carnivores rather than domestic carnivores.
