This study was undertaken to investigate the efficacy of combined inactivated Rocodoll vaccine containing bovine rotavirus (BRV), bovine corona virus (BCV), and E.coli K99 to control bovine viral diarrhea virus.

In the study, 15 animals, 10 vaccinated and 5 control, and their offsprings were used. The ELISA test was used to detect BRV, BCV and E.coli K99 antibody levels in blood serum and colostrum samples of pregnant cows and calves.

When the results were showed that the specific immunity level for BRV, BCV and E.coli K99 in the vaccinated groups was found significantly higher (P<0.001) compared to the control group. In addition, it was determined that the antibodies in the colostrum of the vaccinated animals were higher than the control group (P<0.001).

As a result, in this study, it was observed that antibodies against the agents of the vaccine were formed in pregnant animals vaccinated with inactive Rocodoll, which is used to control bovine viral diarrhea virus, and that these antibodies were transferred to colostrum at high levels. In addition, in serological tests, it has been determined that it provides protection in calves received colostrum. Consequently, in this study it was concluded that the vaccine was effective.
