In this study, three adult martens (2 females, 1 male) were used and it was aimed to investigate the bones of axial skeleton. Crista nuchae and protuberantia occipitalis externa were seen as distinct structures, while crista sagittalis externa was not. Processus zygomaticus of os frontale was rudimentary. Crista facialis was not developed. The dental formula was found as 3, 1, 3, 2 / 3, 1, 3, 2. There were foramen alare, foramen vertebrale laterale and foramen transversarium in the first cervical vertebra (atlas). Processus muscularis was present in the second cervical vertebra (axis). The vertebral formula was determined as C7, T14, L6, S3, Ca 23. In conclusion, skeleton axiale of marten was found slightly different from those of the other wild carnivors.
