In this study, the selenium levels in 74 samples of human foodstuffs and animal feed (16 feed and 30 raw material, 28 fruit and vegetables) obtained from Elazığ province were investigated. The selenium levels were measured at 196 nm by Hydride Generation and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy. The selenium levels in the samples ranged from 0.111 to 2.596 ppm in concentrated feeds, 0.038 to 1.558 ppm in feed plants and 0.000-0.815 ppm in fruits and vegetables, respectively.
