This study was carried out to determine fertility and milk yield characteristics, udder and teat traits and relation between milk yield and udder-teat traits in Pure Hair Goat. The study was conducted at Education, Research and Practice Farm of the University of Fırat, on 61 pure Hair Goat for 2003 fertility characteristics and 30 pure Hair Goats for 2004 fertility and milk yield characteristics.

The rates of parturition, infertility and abortion, kid productivities, average kid numbers of each parturition, gestation productivities, total kid productivities of Pure Hair Goat in 2003 and 2004 years were found to be 0.93 and 0.96, 0.06 and 0.03, 0.10 and 0, 1.18 and 1.46, 1.41 and 1.51, 375.9 and 458.3 kg, and 1772.4 and 2262.3 kg, respectively.

Daily average milk yield, lactation milk yield and lactation length were 0.900, 146.24 kg and 161.87 days. During the lactation, the udder depth (UD: 16.8 cm), udder circumference before (UC: 41.2 cm) and after (UC: 31.6 cm) milking, right (RTL: 2.4 cm) and left (LTL: 2.4 cm) teat length, diameter of the right (DRT:1.7 cm) and left (DLT: 1.7 cm) teats and qualitative trait included udder floor were determined. Milk production was significantly affected (P<0.01) by UD, UC but not by teat traits and udder floor (P>0.05). Phenotypic correlations between UD and UC and between teats lengths and diameters were statically significant (P<0.01).
