Primer Hepatic Lipidosis Case in a Cat

The case was diagnosed in a 7 years old Ankara cat, sterilised on the one years old, and complain with long term anorexia, vomitus and thinning, brought into Internal Medicine Clinic, University of Firat, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

In clinical examination; body temperature, respiration and heart rate, haematocrit value and total leukocyt number were normal reference values. It was clinically observed that the animal was anorectic, lethargic and icteric (gingiva, inside of the ear and in throughout the skin). The cat’s disease was diagnosed as a hepatic lipidosis through clinical and laboratory examination, and although antibiotic and electrolyte therapy, the cat was not recover, thus the cat was euthanasia. Hepatic lipidosis was definitelly diagnosed via the hepatic samples by histopathologic examinations.
