This study was carried out to investigate the growth rate, survivability and body measurements of Saanen x Pure Hair goats F1 and B1 crossbreed kids. The study was conducted at Education, Research and Practice Farm of the University of Fırat. Data were obtained from 29 F1 ve 16 B1 crossbreed kids. The effects of genotype, sex, type of birth, age of dam on growth characteristics and body measurements were analysed by the Least Squares Means Method. Survival rate tested by Chi Square test.

The least squares means for F1 and B1 crossbred kids were 2.18 and 2.82 kg for birth weight, 14.07 and 15.62 kg for weaning weight, 0.131 and 0.141 kg for daily live weight gain, respectively. Survival rate of F1 and B1 crossbred kids at weaning 86.20 and 81.25 %, respectively.

Results of this study indicated that genotypes were similar in the traits investigated.
