The Comperative Anatomy of The Ossa Faciei in The Lynx, Marten, Fox and Wolf

This study was carried out to investigate the spesific anatomical features of the lynx, marten, fox and wolf. For this purpose, three from each species were used without sexual distinction. The incisura nasoincisivum was very significant, however this incisura was not significant in other species.Foramen palatinum majus was seen; on the maxilla bone in the marten, on the joining location of the horizontal lamina of the palatine bone and maxilla bone in the fox and wolf, however, this foramen was located on the the horizontal lamina of the palatine bone in the lynx. Spina nasalis caudalis; was very developed in the fox and wolf, however, was slight in the lynx and marten. Margo interalveolaris was absent in the marten, fox and wolf, however, was significant in the lynx. Number of mental foramina was two in the marten, three in the lynx, fox and wolf. In conclusion, of this study is thougt to be contrubuting to fill the gap of knowledge in this field.
