The aim of this study is to evaluate biochemical parameters in cows with abomasal displacement before and after operation. In this study, 10 cattle with right and 10 cattle with left displacement were used. In the study, before the operation, the mean blood urea nitrogen level of the cattle with right displacement were higher than that measured after operation (P<0.05). Glucose levels of cattle with right displacement were found higher than levels of the cattle with left displacement before operation and cattle with right displacement after operation (P<0.001). But there was no statistically significant difference observed at the total bilirubin, cholesterol, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein, triglyceride, non-esterified fatty acids, beta-hydroxybutyric acid and very low density lipoprotein levels. As a result, serum blood urea nitrogen and glucose levels were found higher in cattle with right displacement before operation.
