This observation is written in order to report the appearance of curly and brownish hair cover which is rarely seen in a calf infected with Bovine Viral Diarrhoea Virus (BVDV). It is thought that the report will be beneficial for the clinician veterinarian. The case is a 4 months old, female Holstein calf which was brought to Fırat of University, Faculty of Veterinary, Clinic of Internal Medicine of Animal Hospital for diagnosis and treatment. The calf have anorexia, cough and dyspnoea complaints and sometimes diarrhea problem since it was born. Blood sample taken from the patient was analyzed with commercial BVDV antigen ELİSA kit, and it was determined that BVDV was positive. Besides hematological examinations, some biochemical analyses were carried out and mineral matter trace element levels were analyzed. Biopsy sample taken from the skin with curly and brownish hair cover was histopathologically analyzed and it was determined that there was no pathological abnormality. As a result, it was thought that there could be congenital curly hair cover in BVDV infections and it would be beneficial to establish a final diagnosis and take protective precautions.
