Home accidents are the accidents which occur inside a house or around its environment. Home accidents which were exposed especially by preschool children is an important public health problem. Among home accidents, falling television accidents, which results in death by causing mostly blunt head trauma, are constituting a significant part. Four cases who died as a result of falling television and autopsied in Firat University Hospital, Department of Forensic Medicine between 2009-2010 were evaluated in this study. Common cause of death was found to be dome and base fractures and cerebral hemorrhage in four boys, including 15-months old as the youngest and 36-months old as the oldest. We suggest that parents should be educated about the reasons of home accidents and ways of protection from home accidents, and home environment should be secured for accidents in order to minimize or avoid home accidents during preschool period.
