Two female ticks were determined in a Mediterranean chameleon (Chamaeleo chamaeleon) which was brought to parasitology laboratory for examination. The ticks collected by forceps from neck and leg regions were identified under the stereo microscope as Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) kohlsi (Hoogstraal and Kaiser, 1960) which is one of the single host ticks. This tick that was reported in sheep, goat, cattle, deer, antelope and horse was found in human and goats in Turkey. This case is the first report from the reptile animals in Turkey and the world.
