In this study, it was aimed to determine haptoglobin, serum amyloid A (SAA), and ceruloplasmin levels in sheep with contagious ecthyma. Twenty sheep with contagious ecthyma and 10 healthy sheep were used in this study. Blood samples obtained from Jugular veins of animals were collected into plain tubes. Haptoglobin, SAA and ceruloplasmin levels were measured colorimetrically. When sheep with contagious ecthyma were compared with the animals in the control group, haptoglobin (P<0.01), SAA (P<0.01) and ceruloplasmin (P<0.05) levels were increased. In conclusion, haptoglobin, SAA, and ceruloplasmin can be used as inflammatory markers in sheep infected with contagious ecthyma, since there is a relationship between AFP level and clinical symptoms.
