An autumn follicle or persistent anovulatory follicle, rarely shown in equidae was presented in this study. This case was encountered at postmortem examination in a 7 years old, domestic and grey colored donkey was admitted to Veterinary Animal Hospital of Firat University. The animal had severe laminitis and euthanasia was performed because of the untreatable condition.

By examination, an auntumn follicle was encountered in the right ovary. The sizes of the right ovary with this follicle were 16x18x13 centimetres and it weighed 2150 grams. Any patholojical condition was observed in histolojical and patolojical examination. Auntumn follicle is considered as physiological in mares but this is the first case we met in a female donkey at our clinics.
